For those of you who don't already know, this year's play is from the perspective of a servant in King Herod's palace.  As we follow Joram's journey, this play has it all!  Isaiah prophesying, the angels, shepherds, Mary, Joseph, King Herod, Anna and Simeon at the temple, and even John the Baptist! There are opportunities for solos, lots of room for silent actors,  and a fun new theatrical element of readers theatre, which pulls in Genesis and John chapter 1 throughout the play.  There is lots of help needed for Stage Crew, Stage design, Costumes, Tech help (sound, camera, lights) The play is titled Behold The King, and has a solid theme of light versus darkness throughout the play. This play will encourage believers as well as speak to non-believers.  Jesus came to a world not much different than what we are experiencing now...a world full of religious and political unrest, a world full of violence and darkness. But the good news is, that the Light of the World has been here since the beginning, and He is STILL the light that shines in the darkness, he is STILL the KING OF KINGS.
